An action by the UFCSPA community
Do your part!
The state is facing major losses due to flooding and rain, and the UFCSPA community has stepped up in volunteer efforts to help. However, many of our colleagues, both civil servants and academics, have lost everything, including during their own acts of solidarity. We are a community united not only to help others, but also to take care of our own.
We, from the Postgraduate Association (APG), the UFCSPA Central Student Directory (DCE), the Levante Popular da Juventude movement, sports leagues (LÍDER and PIMBOS), in addition to the UFCSPA technical staff and faculty, are strongly encouraging donations to help those who have been affected.
Although we are facing times of sadness and disappointment, it is essential that we come together to plan and help rebuild our community, bringing hope for a better tomorrow.
Welcoming, care and support are fundamental. Remember: you are not alone. We are all in this battle together.

About climate emergencies
Climate emergencies, such as storms, floods and fires, are more frequent due to climate change.
Preparation is essential to reduce risks and save lives. This involves creating response plans, reinforcing infrastructure and educating communities to act quickly in emergencies. Early warning systems and simulation exercises are also crucial.
Disaster donations can provide vital resources to help affected communities recover faster. Adapting over the long term, such as with natural barriers, is a key strategy for increasing resilience.
